Some like it hot – others do not!
Healthy, devilishly hot, sweet, sugar free, creamy no fat sauce.
This quick and easy sauce is made with just 3 ingredients: fresh horseradish root, fat free yoghurt and Stevia-sweet fluid.
Starting with the deceptive root that keeps it’s sharp, biting hot aroma under wraps until you start hand grating it, breaking open the root cells releasing the volatile hot oils – beware – if you thought onions are bad you have not experienced the power the horseradish root – my eyes were streaming, but every tear is worth shedding for this deliciously sweet hot treat. The fresh root is naturally super low in calories but full of healthy vitamins and minerals, it has been used as a traditional healing remedy for centuries.
It has a number of positive effects on the respiratory system, if need your nose clearing – have a bite of the pungent horseradish condiment – it guarantees to instantly clear you sinuses. Did...
Luxurious grown up way to celebrate Pancake Day this year.
I love pancakes – they can be anything you like; from quick emergency food when time is short, to a luxury sumptuous meal or an all time favourite desert.
This particular combination of lemon and poppy seeds is very rich. The lemon adds a bit of zing taking the heaviness of the added butter that aids the ticker texture and the poppy seeds add their own aroma and a little crunchiness.

Creamy, melting, divine, luxury dark chocolate icing for every occasion. Once you've tried this, you’ll ask how you lived without it.
Here are the instructions so you can finish that Valentines goody for your loved one.
Makes 120g (small breakfast bowl)
Prep time: 2min
Cook time: 5min
You need:
60g 100% Chocolate (I use Baker's Unsweetened Chocolate)
1 teesp. Instant coffee
60ml Water (can be replaced with 30ml water & 30ml amaretto mix for a different flavour)
2-4 knife-tips Stevia-sweet 90% powder
Note: getting the sweetness to the desired level is a matter of trial and error, the best thing is to start with a smaller amount of whatever Stevia you have on hand, it can be ready-use, liquid or tabs (need to be dissolved too), adding more is easier than diluting – you could end up with a huge amount of treat -Don’t have any Stevia yet? – you can always use normal sweetener products until you are set up.
Instructions:
Start by roughly chopping the chocolate to aid...
Be my Valentine; make this divine gateau knowing it’s a healthy gift of love.
This recipe is great for Diabetics as it uses Stevia for sweetening which is a non-calorific, naturally sweet herb from Paraguay. It is said to encourage the release of insulin and normalizes the response to glucose, particularly in type 2 diabetes. In Latin America, it is utilized as an inexpensive therapy for hyperglycaemia.
I have been making this particular recipe nearly every weekend since I developed it for my husband’s birthday, his comment: “it’s the absolute best cake you made yet”. Note: I make cakes all the time, with and without sugar. With is usually when it’s for the general public like my husband’s work colleagues who may not be open minded enough to try a naturally sweetened cake.
I have found in the past that people’s expectation of the level of sweetness is the main downfall when looking to get the thumbs up on your stevia sweetened cake....
Awesome! This cheesecake recipe saves you calories without compromising the classic flavour.
Now, as you can see – I am not an expert in avoiding a cracking cheese cake. Mine usually crack and that’s ok with me – I am not entering a cheese cake beauty contest – I just want to eat it.
I know there is a lot of info out there to help you make the perfect cheese cake, so help is available if you don’t like the rustic home-made look. You can always cover the cracks up by decorating the well cooled cake with fresh fruit - adding another dimension.
What I like best about my cheese cake is that I know that it does not contain any nasty ingredients that could jeopardise my diet goals. As you already know from my Super light dark Cocoa/ Chocolate mousse post, I don’t want any unhealthy fats in my food.
So I stripped an already lower calorie no-base cheese cake recipe, where...
